Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills on ABC's Lost television series. After the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington, Ohio to live with her family in Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling with finances. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 as well as sharing with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with all the other actors) with her. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue an even more prominent role in movies, and had a role alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. The following year, she was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern interpretation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two episodes, which included the finale of the series. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie, and also a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in the films of her father when he was an adolescent. With her brother, she also appeared as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). She then appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a dramatic) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films like World Trade Center in 2006 she gained greater recognition for her role as Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). Gyllenhaal debuted as a director and writer in 2021, with the psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
